Rooted in Resilience: Across diverse landscapes, women are already leading climate action. From Andean farmers adapting to glacial melt to Pacific islanders protecting their coral reefs, their knowledge and resourcefulness are the bedrock of resilience. Investing in their leadership amplifies these solutions on a global scale. Women face systemic barriers in accessing resources and decision-making spaces related to climate change.

By investing in their leadership training, mentorship, and networks, we bridge these gaps and ensure their voices are heard at every level, from local councils to international forum. Women's leadership is holistic and interconnected. They understand the complex web of environmental, social, and economic factors that contribute to climate challenges. By investing in their leadership, we weave a tapestry of solutions that address these issues in a comprehensive and sustainable way.

When women lead, communities thrive. Investing in their leadership creates a ripple effect, empowering others to take action and inspiring a groundswell of climate justice initiatives across the globe. Climate change disproportionately impacts women and marginalized communities. By investing in women's leadership in climate justice, we build a future where everyone has a voice, a seat at the table, and an equal chance to thrive in a healthy and sustainable planet

On Solutions day I had the honour of attending an event hosted at the Italian Pavillion by Professor Franco Cotana and a team of his from CIRIAF and University of Perugia on Albedo as a strategy for rapid global warming mitigation and control. The Centro Interuniversitario of Ricerca sull'Inquinamento e Ambientale of Italy has long been working on the research of environmental related topics and technologies with the most prominent universities in Italy. Albedo refers to the percentage of solar radiation reflected by a surface or an object measured on a scale from zero to one, with one being the most reflective.9 Surfaces with high albedos, such as snow-covered land, reflect high percentages of shortwave solar radiation preventing conversion to longwave infrared radiation that heats both the surface and the atmosphere. Controlling these aspects will heavily reduce the global warming.

''AFRICA is not a Country and the world needs to wake to this. On this day,the Africans came together to show their differences and their similarites. The diversity and the oneness. They showcased that they are made of different people with different needs. They do share one thing though but not only with themselves but also with the world and thats the environment, the planet. With the developed world causing havoc and destruction to the environment on their side, the unknowing, unindustrialized countries, unsuspecting citizens of underdeveloped but happy people of Africa are hit with droughts, famines and some typhoons out of nowhere. The labelization of africa as a county has to stop. The private companies and countries causing the above mentioned problems with their pollutions and unethical exploitation of the ecosystem will be publishing on paper that they will be financing/pledging africa with a certain billions of dollars but when the math is done it might not even be enough to cover the damage caused in one african country let alone the 54 African states. Stop labelizing Africa as a country,'' said Khalid M.Abdille on Africa day at the Africa day infront of the COP27 gathering.

[14 November 2022]...

The COP27 brought the right people for networking and raised the right questions. Of course the world doesnt just need the advocacy. We also need to network to raise our voices and unite to amplify our campaigns in different households, communities, states and simultaneous regions. What better way to do that other than obesrving justice and allowing the cradle of life to showcase how better to do that. What better day to do it other than Gender day.
Today was all about the ideas, solutions and the get-arounds the women had and have to the problems caused by men. It was all about balance. It was about the voices of the ignored part of the society. The ignored people with the right solutions and care and love for not only the environment but also for mankind. Climate change cant be reversed without the women in the fight.

Attending the Somalia NDC (Nationally Determined Contributions) Review and Development of Implementation Plan workshop sounds like a significant step towards environmental sustainability and climate action. Setting an ambitious goal of achieving a 30% emissions reduction below business-as-usual levels by 2030 demonstrates a strong commitment to addressing climate change.

NDCs play a crucial role in the global effort to combat climate change, as they outline a country's specific targets and actions to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to the impacts of climate change. Collaborating with partners to work towards a sustainable future shows a united front in tackling these challenges.

It's heartening to see Somalia actively participating in shaping its climate policies and striving for meaningful contributions to global emission reduction efforts. This kind of commitment is vital for building a more resilient and environmentally responsible future for all.
